Visa Overview

E-Visa

  • The Israel eVisa is an electronic visa system introduced for eligible travelers to simplify the visa application process without visiting an embassy or consulate. It allows applicants to apply online by submitting personal details, passport information, travel plans, and required supporting documents through the official portal or approved channels.
  • The eVisa is generally intended for short-term travel purposes such as tourism, business visits, family visits, pilgrimage, or other approved temporary travel, depending on nationality and current eligibility rules.
  • Applicants complete the process online, upload the necessary documents, and pay the applicable visa fee digitally. Once approved, the visa is issued electronically and linked to the passport or provided as a downloadable approval document. Travelers are advised to carry a printed or digital copy during travel.
  • The validity period, number of entries, and duration of stay depend on the visa category granted by Israeli authorities. Travelers must use the visa strictly for the approved purpose and within the permitted dates.
  • Even after eVisa approval, final entry into Israel is subject to border control and immigration clearance at the port of entry. Travelers may be asked to show return tickets, hotel bookings, invitation letters, proof of funds, or other supporting documents.
  • Applicants should ensure all information is accurate and matches the passport exactly, as errors or missing details may result in delays or rejection. It is also recommended not to make non-refundable travel bookings before visa approval.
  • Overall, the Israel eVisa system provides a convenient digital option for eligible short-term travelers while maintaining immigration and security checks.
