Depending on the purpose of your visit, Indians can apply for many types of visas. The most commonly applied are-
- Tourist visa: This is given to travellers coming to Uganda for short-term (3 months) visits for the purpose of tourism, medical treatment, family visits, business visas, etc.
- East Africa tourist visa: This is a joint tourist visa that allows travellers to travel to Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda only. It can be used multiple times for tourism purposes.
- Transit visa: This visa is granted to travellers from Uganda to a third country. It is granted for a maximum of 7 days and is not extendable.
- Multiple-Entry visa: This is granted to travellers who frequently travel to Uganda. It can be granted for 6 months, 12 months, or 24 months and allows the holder multiple entries for the duration.
