To book any Domestic Holiday or travel services, a person has to make an initial non-refundable deposit of Rs. 2,499/- per person. In case a person want to book air-tickets / train tickets as part of his tour package, 100% payment is required as the time of booking. Balance payment is to be paid at least 15 days prior to date of departure. 

Cancellation Rules: Cancellations of a tour package must be intimated to us in writing / Email & cancellation charges applicable are as follows: 

  • 21 Days or more prior to the departure or non-payment of balance amount- Rs.2,499/- per person.
  • 20-15 Days prior to the departure 25% of the tour cost.
  • 14-07 Days prior to the departure of the tour 50% of the total tour cost.
  • 07-04 Days prior to the departure of the tour 75% of the total tour cost.
  • 03 Days prior or a “No Show” on the tour 100% of the total tour cost.

For the cancellation of services other than tour package (such as air-tickets/train-tickets/cruises/safaris, etc) booked with Oxford Travels will attract cancellation charges as per the policy of respective supplier of the services. Oxford Travels does not take responsibility for fees relating to the issuance and / or cancellation of air tickets or other arrangements not done through Oxford Travels.

Day 1 ARRIVAL COCHIN - MUNNAR TRANSFER

Pick up from Cochin Railway Station or Cochin Bus Station and proceed to Munnar, a scenic hill station located at an altitude of approximately 1,600 meters above sea level. Once the summer retreat of the British Government in South India, Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams – Mudrapuzha River, Nallathanni River, and Kundala River.

On arrival, check in at the hotel and freshen up. Later, enjoy local sightseeing around Munnar, taking in its lush tea plantations, misty hills, and picturesque surroundings. After sightseeing, return to the hotel to relax. Overnight stay is arranged at the hotel in Munnar.

Day 2 MUNNAR SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Munnar. Begin with a visit to Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, a rare mountain goat species. Enjoy photographing these friendly animals amidst the park’s rolling grasslands and scenic vistas. Later, visit Mattupetty Dam, a picturesque reservoir surrounded by hills, and continue to Devikulam, a tranquil hill station known for its serene landscapes and Sita Devi Lake. The tour also includes a visit to the famous Tea Gardens of Munnar, where endless stretches of lush plantations create breathtaking views. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight stay is arranged at the hotel in Munnar.

Day 3 MUNNAR – THEKKADY ( PERIYAR )

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Thekkady. En route, enjoy the scenic drive as the wooded terrain gradually opens to reveal rolling tea and cardamom plantations, with the fresh mountain air filled with the rich fragrance of spices such as cinnamon and cloves. Thekkady, situated at approximately 2,800 feet above sea level, enjoys a pleasantly cool climate throughout the year.

On arrival, check in at the hotel and freshen up. In the afternoon, take an optional guided spice plantation tour (at extra cost) to learn about the cultivation of spices like cardamom, pepper, and vanilla. Later, enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake within Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, South India’s most popular wildlife sanctuary. From the safety of the boat, you may spot elephants, deer, and other wildlife drinking at the water’s edge. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 4 THEKKADY WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
After breakfast, enjoy an optional boat cruise on Periyar Lake in Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, South India’s most popular wildlife sanctuary. The boat ride offers a unique opportunity to spot wildlife such as elephants, deer, and various bird species in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, visit a spice plantation to explore the cultivation of Kerala’s famous spices, including cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, and vanilla. Day 5 THEKKADY – ALLEPPEY

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Alleppey, a serene destination famous for its backwaters and canals. Alleppey is also renowned as one of the world’s chief suppliers of coir. On arrival, check in at the backwater resort and relax for the day.

Explore the Jewish Synagogue, Jain Temple, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, and the Dutch Palace. Witness the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets, visit the Dutch Cemetery, Hill Palace, and stroll along Fort Kochi Beach.
