Activity Policies
- Visitors must have a valid ticket and follow the instructions of London Eye staff.
- All visitors are subject to security checks before boarding.
- Visitors must remain inside the designated capsule and follow safety instructions throughout the rotation.
- Climbing on seats, leaning dangerously or interfering with the capsule equipment is prohibited.
- Large luggage and certain prohibited items are not permitted; security staff may refuse entry to restricted items.
- Children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult.
- Food and drinks are subject to the attraction's rules; alcohol may only be consumed where specifically permitted.
- The London Eye may temporarily stop or alter operations due to strong winds, severe weather, technical issues or safety requirements.
- Visitors must respect staff, other guests and the attraction facilities.
Terms & Conditions
- Valid Ticket: All visitors must have a valid ticket to enter and ride the London Eye. Tickets must be retained and presented when requested.
- Timed Entry: Visitors must arrive at the entrance to the boarding queue at the time printed on their ticket. The ticket time represents the time to join the queue, not necessarily the boarding time.
- Security Checks: All guests and their belongings are subject to security screening before boarding.
- Prohibited Items: Weapons, sharp objects, fireworks, smoke devices, drones, large luggage, scooters, bicycles, skateboards and other potentially dangerous items are not permitted.
- Luggage: Large bags and suitcases cannot be taken onto the London Eye. Storage is available at the ticket office for a charge.
- Food & Drinks: Water is permitted. Other food and beverages are generally not allowed onboard unless included in an authorised VIP experience or required for medical reasons.
- Smoking: Smoking, including vaping and the use of e-cigarettes, is strictly prohibited throughout the London Eye premises.
- Children: Guests aged 15 years or younger must be accompanied by a guardian aged 18 or over and remain under adult supervision.
- Pushchairs & Wheelchairs: Folded pushchairs and buggies may be taken onboard. The London Eye also provides wheelchair-accessible boarding facilities, subject to applicable conditions.
- Animals: Only assistance dogs are permitted. Other pets and emotional-support animals are not permitted onboard.
- Photography: Personal photography is permitted unless otherwise restricted. Commercial photography, filming equipment and tripods require prior approval.
- Visitor Conduct: Visitors must behave responsibly and follow instructions from London Eye staff. Threatening, abusive, disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in refusal of entry or removal.
- Restricted Areas: Visitors must not climb on barriers or enter restricted areas. Queue jumping is prohibited unless authorised through a Fast Track or other approved access arrangement.
- Personal Belongings: Visitors are responsible for their personal belongings. The London Eye accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal items.
- Weather & Operations: The London Eye may experience operational changes, delays or temporary closures because of weather, maintenance, safety requirements or other circumstances.
- Opening & Maintenance: Opening hours vary throughout the year. The London Eye is normally closed on 25 December and for annual maintenance during January.
- Ticket Changes & Cancellation: Ticket amendments, cancellations and refunds are subject to the specific terms applicable to the ticket purchased.
Cancellation Policy
London Eye tickets and Private Pod bookings are non-refundable. Eligible tickets may be rescheduled free of charge, generally up to 24 hours before the scheduled visit, subject to ticket type and availability. If the London Eye cancels a ride due to closure, the prepaid ticket cost for the cancelled ride will be refunded. Missed time slots are subject to the applicable grace-period and availability conditions.
