Activity Policies
- Entry to the archaeological site requires a valid admission ticket, unless the visitor qualifies for free admission.
- Tickets are valid for one entry to the archaeological site and must be presented at the entrance.
- Visitors must comply with the instructions of site staff and security personnel.
- Entry may be refused to visitors carrying dangerous, sharp, flammable or potentially harmful objects, or visitors under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Visitors should not touch, climb on or otherwise damage archaeological remains.
- Visitors are required to follow the site's operating rules and remain within permitted visitor areas.
- Opening hours and access arrangements may vary according to the season, weather, archaeological works or official decisions.
- Free admission applies on designated days established by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, including certain national and cultural heritage days.
Terms & Conditions
- Tickets are valid for one person and for the archaeological site and validity period stated on the ticket.
- Where a specific time slot is required, visitors must enter within the selected time period.
- Tickets are generally non-refundable and cannot be cancelled or changed after the transaction is completed, except in circumstances specifically provided for in the official terms.
- If the archaeological site is closed on the scheduled date due to force majeure, the ticket validity may be extended or the ticket price may be refunded. No additional compensation is normally payable.
- Tickets are valid for one entry only. Once a visitor leaves the site, the ticket cannot be reused for re-entry.
- Tickets must be purchased through an official sales channel. Counterfeit or unofficial tickets will not be accepted, and the first person presenting a valid ticket is treated as the legitimate holder.
- Ticket resale, exchange or unauthorised commercial use is prohibited. Tickets purchased for unauthorised commercial, advertising or other activities may be cancelled.
- Visitors may be subject to security checks. Entry can be refused to people under the influence of alcohol or drugs or carrying dangerous, sharp, flammable or potentially weapon-like objects.
- Visitors must keep their ticket during the entire visit and follow the instructions of security personnel and site staff.
- Reduced/free admission is subject to presentation of the required identification and supporting documents. Failure to provide the required proof may result in refusal of entry without a refund.
- The official ticketing system divides visits into summer season (1 April–31 October) and winter season (1 November–31 March), with designated free-admission days.
Cancellation Policy
Temple of Olympian Zeus tickets are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled or amended once the transaction has been completed, except where otherwise provided under the official ticketing terms. Refunds are not provided for lost, stolen or damaged tickets.
