- The National Library is primarily a research and cultural institution, rather than a conventional tourist attraction.
- Access to reading rooms and library collections may require registration, identification or prior arrangements.

- Food and drinks may be restricted in library areas.
- Photography and filming may be subject to restrictions, particularly around valuable collections and reading rooms.
- Access to specific areas may be limited because of research activities, exhibitions, events or conservation work.
- Opening hours and visitor arrangements may differ between the historic building and the SNFCC facilities.

- Access to library areas is subject to the NLG's visitor and operating rules and may differ depending on the facility or activity being visited.
- The public may access designated reading rooms, exhibitions and cultural spaces, while staff-only, collection-storage and other restricted areas require authorisation.
- Visitors must follow the instructions of NLG staff and security personnel while inside the premises.
- Identification or registration may be required for access to certain library services, reading rooms or collections.
- Visitors using reading rooms are expected to maintain silence and avoid disturbing other users.
- Food and drinks may be restricted or prohibited in reading rooms and collection areas.
- Photography, filming and the use of recording equipment may be subject to restrictions, particularly in areas containing collections or during exhibitions/events.
- Visitors must handle books, manuscripts, archival material and other library collections with care and comply with any special handling instructions.
- Access to rare, valuable or protected material may require prior permission and supervision.
- The Library may change opening hours, restrict access or close particular areas because of maintenance, events, security, conservation work or other operational reasons.
- Organised group visits and educational/cultural programmes may require advance booking.
- Visitors are responsible for complying with the specific rules of the particular exhibition, event or library service they are attending.
Cancellation Policy
The National Library of Greece is a historic public landmark, and a standard exterior visit or photo stop does not require an admission ticket or advance reservation. Therefore, no cancellation or refund policy applies. Any separately booked guided visit, event or organised activity is subject to the cancellation and refund conditions of the respective organiser.
