- Children must remain under the supervision of an accompanying adult, particularly near the water.
- Visitors must not enter the lake from restricted or unsafe locations.
- Boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing and other recreational activities may require compliance with separate local and operator-specific regulations.
- Visitors must wear required life jackets or safety equipment when participating in activities where they are mandatory.

- Late arrival or failure to join a booked cruise or activity may result in loss of the booking without refund, subject to the provider's conditions.
- If Lake Wakatipu is included in an organised Queenstown sightseeing or cruise package, the tour operator's cancellation and refund policy will apply.
Cancellation Policy
Lake Wakatipu is a natural lake and public scenic destination and does not require an admission ticket or reservation for general sightseeing. Therefore, no separate cancellation or refund policy applies to visiting the lake. If Lake Wakatipu is included as part of a boat cruise, guided tour, excursion, or travel package, the cancellation and refund conditions of the respective booking or service provider will apply.
